Pith connects to Claude, Cursor, and any assistant that speaks MCP. The setup is two minutes, once, and the connect page walks you through it. This post is about the other question, the one that matters: what would you actually say to it?
The honest answer is that the assistant is not a new app to learn. It is the chat you already have open, with hands on your Instagram. Claude reads your files, knows what day it is, and can hold a conversation. Pith drafts, edits, and publishes. Together they cover the eleven moments below. Nothing on this list posts without your say-so, given once in the chat or once in a task you set up.
1. "What's waiting? Approve it."
It is 7:05 and your hands are in the dough. Today's draft is on your Instagram before the first customer walks in. You did not open an app.
2. "Post this to my feed: pistachio babka, out of the oven."
You took the photo a minute ago. Paste it in the chat, add the caption, and it publishes now. This part is free on every plan, Free included. It is your photo and your words; Pith only carries them.
3. "Here's my menu. Add every item as a product, with prices."
Your menu is a PDF from the printer. Claude reads it. Pith gets twenty products, each with a name and a price, in one message. From then on your daily product posts rotate through them.
4. "Add the pistachio babka at 32 shekels. Make tomorrow's draft about it."
A new item this week. It joins the rotation and tomorrow's draft features it.
5. "Make Pith warmer. No exclamation marks."
The drafts sound too formal, or too excited, or use a word you would never say. Describe the change and your voice profile changes. Tomorrow's draft is written from the new one.
6. "Fill next week with product posts."
Sunday night, planning. A draft lands on every empty day of the coming week. Each one waits for your yes, in the app or in the chat.
7. "Change today's story to say we're closed Thursday and Friday, back Sunday."
A holiday is coming. The draft that was going to be about croissants is now the notice your customers need, in your voice.
8. "Pull my new photos and drop the ones with the old logo."
Your grid changed. Pith refreshes its copy of your Instagram and keeps only the photos worth drafting from.
9. "Did yesterday's story go out? Why not?"
It reads the activity log and tells you in plain words. A token expired, a photo was too small, or it went out fine and you missed the notification.
10. "How many stories do I have left this month?"
A straight answer, and a checkout link if you want one. Paying still happens in your browser. The assistant never charges you.
11. "Every morning, read my Pith drafts. Approve one that names a product and publish it. Tell me what went out."
You'd rather not think about it at all. Save that as a scheduled task in Claude. Your rules, your agent, your Instagram. Pith never posts on its own. Your assistant reads each draft against the rules you gave it and publishes under your grant, and you get a message saying what went out. If you want a look before anything goes, leave out "publish it" and it will wait for you.
What it cannot do
It cannot publish a draft nobody approved. You approve it, or your assistant approves it on the rules you gave it. Same rule as the app, no way around it. It cannot read your DMs, your comments, or your followers. It cannot spend your money.
