Pith speaks MCP, the standard AI assistants use to reach real apps. Connect it once and your morning turns into a sentence: what's waiting for approval? Everything you can do in the Inbox, you can do in a chat instead.
It's included on every plan, Free included, and it doesn't change your monthly limits.
What owners use it for
The short version: Claude reads your files and knows what day it is. Pith gives it hands on your Instagram. These are the moments it earns its place.
- 7:05, hands in the dough. "What's waiting? Approve it." Today's story goes to your Instagram. You never opened an app.
- A photo you took a minute ago. Paste it in the chat: "Post this to my feed: pistachio babka, out of the oven." It publishes now, and it's free on every plan.
- Your menu is a PDF. "Here's my menu. Add every item as a product, with prices." Claude reads the file, Pith gets twenty products, one message.
- A new item this week. "Add the pistachio babka at 32 shekels and make tomorrow's draft about it."
- It sounds too formal. "Make Pith warmer. No exclamation marks." Your voice profile changes and tomorrow's draft is written from it.
- Sunday night, planning. "Fill next week with product posts." A draft lands on every empty day, each one waiting for your yes.
- A holiday is coming. "Change today's story to say we're closed Thursday and Friday, back Sunday."
- Your grid changed. "Pull my new photos and drop the ones with the old logo."
- Did it work? "Did yesterday's story go out? Why not?" It reads the log and answers in plain words.
- How much is left. "How many stories do I have left this month?"
- You'd rather not think about it at all. "Every morning, read my Pith drafts. Approve one that names a product and publish it. Tell me what went out." Save that as a scheduled task in Claude. Your rules, your agent, your Instagram. Pith never posts on its own; your assistant does what you told it, and every publish is one it made under your grant.
Connect it
You'll need the server address:

In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the address, and approve the connection when Claude sends you to Pith.
In Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http pith https://pith.day/api/mcp, then /mcp to sign in.
Anywhere else — Cursor, ChatGPT, an agent you built yourself: paste the address wherever the app asks for a remote MCP server. If it asks which transport, it's streamable HTTP. If it asks for an API key, it doesn't need one — you sign in with the same email or Google account you already use for Pith.
Before anything connects, you'll see an approval screen listing exactly what the assistant is asking for. Nothing happens until you approve it.
Your morning, by chat
The loop is the same one the Inbox runs:
- "What's waiting for approval this morning?" — your assistant lists today's pending drafts.
- "Show me the second one." — it reads the caption and can render the story image. A cold render calls the image model, so give it up to 90 seconds.
- "Approve it and post it." — approved and on your Instagram. Or approve it and post from the app later, your call.
- "Make it warmer and drop the emoji." — the draft is rewritten and goes back to pending for you to look at again.
Other things worth asking for:
- "Fill next week with product posts."
- "Add a Friday specials beat to my brand voice."
- "How many stories do I have left this month?"
- "My Instagram grid changed — pull the new photos."
- "Did yesterday's story actually go out?"
What it can and can't do
Your assistant can read and edit drafts, manage your schedule, photos and products, tune your brand voice, switch your daily flow, publish approved posts, and check your plan usage. The full list is on the AI assistants page.
It cannot:
- Publish anything from a draft you haven't approved — the same rule the app follows, with no way around it
- Read your Instagram DMs, your comments, or your followers' details
- Charge you. It can hand you a checkout link to open yourself; paying still happens on the checkout page, in your browser
Permissions
Assistants get three permissions by default — view, edit, and publish — and checkout only if one specifically asks for it. You see all of them on the approval screen before you connect.
Disconnecting
Settings → Connected apps lists every assistant you've connected, what it may do, and when it last did anything. Hit Disconnect and its access stops immediately — no waiting period, and no need to change your password.
If something isn't working
The assistant says it can't find your account. Ask it to run whoami first — that's how it discovers which business it's working on. If that comes back empty, the connection was made with a different email than your Pith account.
A request times out. Generating a day of drafts or drawing a story image takes 60–90 seconds. Most assistants wait; if yours gives up, ask again and it'll usually pick up the finished result.
A story image download used up a slot. On the Free plan, asking for a story image to post yourself spends one of your monthly stories the first time you ask for that draft — exactly as it does in the app. Fetching the same draft's image again is free.
