Pith turns your Instagram handle into daily story drafts in your brand's voice. Here's the shortest path from "I just signed up" to "my first story is live."
1. Type your handle
On the homepage, type your @handle and tap Show me my 3 free stories. Then pick one:
- Continue with Instagram — sign in with Instagram (Business and Creator accounts). That sign-in is your Pith account, and it connects the account Pith posts to. You log in on Instagram's own page, so Pith never sees your password.
- Continue without Instagram — nothing to fill in. Pith reads your public posts instead.
2. Let Pith learn your brand
Pith reads your posts and builds your Brand DNA: what you sell, how you sound, who it's for. It usually takes one to two minutes.
Then you land straight in your Inbox with your first drafts. On your first visit, a line under your stories, What Pith learned from @handle, opens to a few things it picked up, with a link to See your Brand DNA.
3. Tell Pith where to send tomorrow's drafts
If you signed in with Instagram, the Inbox asks for your email before it shows your drafts. Otherwise, the Tomorrow card asks: Where should we send them? Daily drafts start once Pith has an address to send them to, including if you run Pith from an AI assistant like ChatGPT or Claude. If three days go by without you approving, editing or skipping a draft, the daily drafts pause, and your next decision starts them again.
4. Change what you don't like
Tap Change under a story. It holds everything besides posting:
- Edit text — change the words on the story yourself.
- Try another version — Pith drafts a new one.
- Edit with AI (Pro) — describe the change in your own words, like "no emoji" or "bigger text." Pith asks whether it's for Only this story or This one and the next ones.
To change how Pith writes in general, tell your Brand DNA on the Brand page — "less salesy," "shorter sentences." (More on that.)
5. Approve and post
Until Instagram is connected, each card says Connect Instagram below to approve — use the button at the bottom. After that:
- Publish to Instagram — posts the story now.
- Approve (under Change) — marks it ready without posting it; tap Publish to Instagram when you want it live. Or tap Approve all 3 at the bottom once every story has loaded: each one goes out at its own time, and the bar says when.
- Send back (under Change) — the card shows Skipped, with an Undo. Nothing posts.
If you've used your free posts for the month, the button under each story reads Approve: it keeps the story without posting it, and the line under it says when free posts start again. Post now with Pro is the first thing under Change, and shows you the upgrade.
If your connection was made without publish access, there's no Publish button: approve, tap Save & post it yourself, and post it from the Instagram app — or reconnect Instagram once to publish straight from Pith.
Nothing posts unless you approve it. After today, the daily email brings new drafts, and its Approve & post button posts on your tap.
